Playing the role of "Luther Billis" in this classic show was so much fun. I spent most of the show running around in a grass skirt and beads. Supposed to be a tropical climate but try wearing it during August in Melbourne! Freezing!! I can't recall a show being lifted so much by the inclusion of the orchestra after rehearsing to a piano for two weeks - 32 piece in the State Theatre with such a breathtaking score.
