The Lost Dogs Home made me an official Patron of that organisation in 2001. I was so chuffed I wanted to think of a something special I could do to help them out. Something to encourage people to liberate their dogs from the backyard and get out and about - not just to improve their personal fitness, but also the bond shared with their pet. When I adopted Steven I didn’t just bring home a new best friend – I got myself a personal trainer as well! Together we lead a very active life. So I came up with the idea of a joint campaign between the Lost Dogs Home and Life.Be In It to encourage people to “Get Fit With A Dog”. We planned a big “dog day” which took place at the Lost Dogs Home on Sunday 14th October. Everyone was so pleased with the success of the day that it’s going to be an annual event.
